College Representatives to Van Meter for Juniors and Seniors to visit on campus

This web site will be used by students to develop a high school course plan, research careers, college searches, scholarship searches and provide a test prep for ACT and SAT. All eighth and ninth grade students will be using this state sponsored site to develop their 4 year high school plan. Other students will also have access to the site for exploration. The Secondary Guidance Counselor will be meeting with 8th and 9th grade students to introduce the web site, set up user accounts/passwords and work with students in each of the components to the site. This is an excellent resource for our students for career exploration.

SENIOR INFORMATION

Local Scholarship applications will be available the first week of March. Due date back to the Guidance Office is Friday, April 2nd.

Senior Award night is scheduled for Wednesday, May 19th at 7:00pm in the Activity Center. Departmental awards, scholarships, etc will be presented at the assembly.

Graduation will be Sunday,May 23rd at 2:00 in the afternoon. Location is the Fieldhouse

TESTING

ITBS and ITED tests have been given to students in grades 7-11. When results are back, students will receive a copy of their individual results to bring home for parents.

2010-2011 COURSE SELECTIONS

Final master schedule for the 2010-2011 school year will be done by April 15th. Students will be selecting classes for next year by the end of April and final scheules will be mailed out to students with registration forms over the summer.
